Perth Concert Hall

Delegates attending meetings and seminars need regular refreshment breaks to help them stay alert and maintain energy levels.  Food should be tasty, filling and easy to eat. These days, the trend is moving away from high calorie fried snacks and towards healthy options which also include vegetarian dishes.

Staff at Perth Concert Hall report a noticeable increase in requests from conference organisers for menus based on ethically-farmed local produce, in line with a growing demand for traceability.

Chef Derek Hughes took time to find local suppliers, sampling their products and checking whether their farming and production methods are ethical and sustainable.

Now he can provide a delicious range of menus for all types of events, using these products in an appetising and creative manner and informing guests of the source of their food.

Healthy smoothies are made with locally-grown soft fruits, craft bakers provide mouth-watering cakes and tasty bread products, meat is from nearby farms renowned for their breeding and rearing methods and fine Perthshire herbs, salads and edible flowers add flavour and interest.  A selection of juices is served at each break, along with the usual teas and coffees.

Perth Concert Hall enjoys increased bookings as a result of its catering department’s understanding of modern meeting requirements. Adding a bit of healthy culinary flair to meeting breaks helps revive and delight delegates.
