FoodTourismScotland is committed to preserving the privacy of the Foodkit users.  Please read the following privacy policy to understand how we use and protect the information that you provide to us.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM YOU
We collect personal information about you when you contact us (i.e. your name, contact details, e-mail address etc) or subscribe to the newsletter; and from your usage of the Foodkit and any other information you email to foodtourismscotland.

USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

By accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy you confirm that you have made such third parties aware of the terms of this Privacy Policy and in particular the purposes for which we will use their personal information and that you have obtained the consent of each such third party to the provision of their personal information to us.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Any personal information provided by you will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and will be treated as confidential.

Unless required to do so by law, we will not disclose your information to any third party without your consent.

COOKIES
When entering the Foodkit your computer will automatically be sent a “cookie”.  These are little text files that recognise your computer with our server.  Cookies as such do not recognise you as the individual computer user but just the computer being used.  This is done by many or indeed most websites in order to be able to understand when a new user visits a website and then when that computer accesses the website again another time, in order to track access flows.

You have the opportunity to set your computer to accept all cookies, to notify you when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time (please refer to your computer help tab to find how to regulate your Internet Access).  These cookies only record those areas of the website that have been visited by the computer in question, and for how long.

CHANGES
Please help us to keep our records updated by informing us of any changes to your contact details.

We may amend this privacy policy from time to time.  If any substantial changes are made, they will be notified to you by posting a notice on the Foodkit.

YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information held about you, which has been collected by us. In return for this we may charge an administration fee.  You also have the right to ensure we correct any inaccuracies contained in your personal information.
